Andritz WEEE Recycling Plants

Old electrical appliances contain iron, aluminum, copper, plastics and many other raw materials. They also contain components that in turn contain harmful substances, for example batteries and capacitors. ANDRITZ MeWa has developed an effective and environmentally friendly process for the WEEE sector. A single stage process extracts the recyclable materials from the domestic appliances, consumer electronics, and computers and sorts them by category. Parts containing harmful substances are left untouched by the process.

The QZ focuses on decomposing the waste material, but avoids separating the individual components and elements. This means easy access to the decomposed recyclable material while avoiding leakage of any contaminants.
