Refuse-derived fuel (RDF) or solid recovered fuel (SRF) is a fuel produced by shredding and dehydrating solid waste (MSW). RDF mostly consists of municipal waste including plastics and biodegradable waste, whereas SRF is a higher grade of waste that consists of non-recyclable paper, cardboard and plastics. RDF typically has a lower calorific value than that of SRF. PRM have numerous equipment based solutions to assist in the processing of this material.
