PRM Announces Exciting New Partnership with Mavitec Green Energy for Depackaging Solutions in the UK

We are thrilled to share that PRM Waste Systems has become the exclusive UK partner for Mavitec Green Energy.

Mavitec Green Energy, located in Heerhugowaard, The Netherlands, specialises in designing and manufacturing recycling systems for processing organic co-products from both the food industry and agricultural sector. Their solutions for food waste and depackaging are crafted to efficiently handle, depack, and resize wet and dry organic by-products from soup to rice crispies. Offering smart and sustainable green energy solutions, they transform various types of food waste into the purest organic fraction (>99.7% clean!).

With over 25 years of industry experience and more than 200 paddle depacker installations worldwide, Mavitec prides itself on being privately owned, featuring an in-house design team and their own production facilities.

Mavitec’s signature equipment, the Paddle Depacker 2.0, processes waste products via a screw conveyor. As materials enter the machine, a rotating axle with paddles crushes them without shredding, ensuring the packaging size remains intact. This smashing action forces the organic fraction to pass through interchangeable screens. The adjustable paddle angle allows for optimal retention time for each product. Additionally, liquids can be added at the top of the machine, including waste products. Cleaned packaging is discharged at the end of the process, while the purified organic material can be directly pumped to the customer’s location.

On the 11th & 12th September we’ll be back at the RWM Expo at the NEC, Birmingham.

You will find us on stand ME-D190 where we will be displaying the Runi SK200TWIN, the must-have screw compactor for polystyrene; processing material at 90kgs per hour and reducing volume at 50:1 it is suitable for up to 50 tonnes per year.  You will also be able to see our P250 Bio-Processor food waste digester which has been designed and built by our in-house Engineering Team.  Business in England will need separate their food waste from 31st March 2025 – no more bag and bin it – talk through your options with us.
