Dewatering solution for Anaerobic Digestion Plant
Supply of a dewatering solution for a client who has several sites on which they produce compost or biogas. The biogas production takes place in five Anaerobic Digestion plants.
The site receives app. 45,000 tonnes of commercial and industrial waste per year and produces 2 MW of sustainable electricity.
In the process plastic bio liquid is separated from the packaging. This packaging was rejected into a RoRO skip and compacted. The residual fluid in the rejected packaging drained out on the floor which lead to a high moisture content and unpleasant working environment.
With the RUNI SK370 the rejected packaging was compacted directly after the hammermill. The residual bio liquid is lead into the bio pulper
and the reject is compacted.
The RUNI SK370 has proven to be a reliable piece of equipment to improve the process.
“RUNI was the best overall solution as it was tried and tested, hence low risk. It gave us a better working environment, reduced operating costs in terms of power usage and repairs and lower disposal costs. The cooperation all the way from sales to installation was excellent. There have been no issues, no problems, machines are working well.”, says the plant’s Head of Development.
