Meet The Team – Lauren Scrivens, Sales Manager

The next member of our team we’d like to introduce you to is Lauren, who has recently been promoted to Sales Manager. Find out more about what made her join PRM and what she feels the future holds for us…

What made you want to join PRM?

I joined PRM Waste Systems in 2018, originally as a Business Support Coordinator. I have a passion for sustainable recycling solutions, which PRM shares, and was a key selling point to joining the team.

Since then I have had a lot of opportunity to progress within the business. I worked my way up to Service Manager and have more recently progressed to Sales Manager.

It has been exciting developing my skills and knowledge in the industry while being part of a company that is flourishing. We’ve gone from single machine sales and support, to in-house manufacturing, refurbishments and full recycling plant builds during my time with the business.

What has been your greatest achievement at PRM to date?

I feel very proud to have developed the equipment refurbishment side of the business at PRM. When I joined, this was something that we only worked on occasionally, but now we have a regular rotation of machines having full strip-downs and parts replaced.

Refurbishing equipment allows customers to improve the life expectancy of their machines, it saves them a lot of money. We even have swap out equipment we can provide to customer while their machine is worked on, significantly reducing any downtime on site. The RUNI below is a great example of the work we carry out.

What makes you excited about the future at PRM?

The part of this that I find the most innovative is our remote support capabilities. It allows our engineers to remotely diagnose faults and offer solutions minimising the need for physical site attendances, saving customers both time and money.

Another element of this is the Customer Portal for our Bio-Processors, where customers can view and monitor their own machines remotely. It tells them the amount of carbon they have captured and how many bin lifts they have saved, along with other metrics, and can even generate automatic reports for them to share with the wider business.

Am also really excited about my new role as Sales Manager. I am looking forward to meeting many familiar and new faces out on the road, finding new waste and recycling opportunities and providing solutions to new challenges.

What do you enjoy doing in your own time?

I try to spend as much time out exploring as possible. Whether that is on my motorbikes, or hiking with my collie Jake. We have scaled Pen Y Fan and Scafell Pike together, and next stop will be Ben Nevis!
