The One Where We Didn’t Win

A few weeks ago, we were thrilled to receive the news that we had been selected as finalists for Medium Business of the Year in the Somerset Business Awards. The news followed a successful visit from our judge Dan at BT, where we got the chance to explain how the equipment we supply can help a vast range of business reduce their waste in a more efficient, environmentally friendly process. We also had the opportunity to show off our innovation, design and workshop teams and demonstrate how our range of PRM Bio-Processors can help businesses reduce the amount of food waste that is going to landfill, and even create a closed loop solution to the problem.

On Friday evening, we put our glad rags on and headed to the Winter Gardens Pavilion in Weston-super-Mare for the awards ceremony. After a few(!) welcome drinks, a lovely meal and a magician, the awards began. Unfortunately, it was not our night and we lost out in the end to Sycamore Process Engineering. We were, however, honoured to be nominated in this category and it was great to see the work that our fellow nominees Sycamore and Somerdale International do. It was also a great opportunity to celebrate the wonderful work that is done in Somerset from engineering and innovations, to care and charity work, we have never been more proud to be working in Somerset.
