RUNI SK240
Historically, the RUNI Screw Compactor was developed to compact EPS fish boxes for the fishing industry, but it has since proved useful for many other purposes.
The Runi SK240 screw compactor is a medium sized machine in the Runi range and is ideal for processing large quantities of polystyrene (EPS) fish boxes, fruit boxes and other types of EPS packaging aswell as different materials including: PET bottles and ALU cans which require the contents to be extracted, for further detail see SK240 Dewatering/ Depackaging. The SK240 will typiccally process around 75kgs per hour of fish boxes, including lids (approx: 110 fish boxes). For larger throughputs the SK370 could be a more suitable option.
Compact Waste
By changing specifications and accessories there is practically no material that a RUNI Screw Compactor cannot compact! The RUNI SK240 can be fitted with either a 45 degree hopper or a vertical hopper, depending on the requirement.
The machine is fitted with hydraulic/electrically-controlled jaws, which allow it to maintain an almost constant compression pressure. Danish engineering and design ensures the highest quality products with a proven track record for performance and strong international presence – Runi is a brand that you can trust.
Reduce Density
The Runi SK240 Screw Compactor has the ability to compact (EPS) with a density of 10g/l to 50g/l at a ratio of 50 : 1 for boxes.
The Benefits
Save costs for transport and landfill by dealing with the EPS in a quick and efficient manner. The compacted EPS blocks the machine produces can also generate income as they can be sold. The Runi SK240 is recommended for a waste volume of up to 50 tonnes per year. There is also a heavy duty pre-crusher available for thick and dense EPS waste from electronics packaging.
